Bio: Tammy Gordon

Tammy Gordon founded of AARP Studios, a multimedia content creation and distribution team designed to boost social sharing of in the over-50 demographic.  She manages an 18-person team manages multimedia video and audio development and publishing; branded video content marketing; social media publishing, community management, customer service, marketing and analytics for the 37 million member organization. 

Prior to launching AARP Studios, Tammy started AARP's first social media team and grew their social footprint to more than 2 million followers. Her team won a Webby Award for their original YouTube show, Takei's Take starring George Takei, Twitter DC's Best Real Time Twitter Campaign for their Movies for Grownups Emmys strategy, was nominated for DIGIDAY's Best Facebook campaign of the year for the Real Possibilities campaign and Best Social Media Cause campaign of the year for Drive to End Hunger, Cynopsis' Best Social Media Sports Brand (Drive to End Hunger) and is noted in Facebook's advertising best practices.

She has trained hundreds of communications professionals, spokespersons and C-suite executives on how to more effectively use social media to achieve their goals.

Tammy is a frequent consultant, speaker and panelist on social media communications. She has presented at SXSW Interactive, MediaPost Social Media Insider Summit, Digiday Brand Summit and the NonProfit Tech Conference.

Past private consulting/training clients include United Way of Columbia-Willamette, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and IDEO.
